Where Can student that is part-Asian a Minority in STEM Products?
I’ve a question that is multiple-part. I will be half Asian and caucasian that is half. Is there schools where an Asian STEM student is considered a minority that is underrepresented? How would I find those? And then secondly, am we better off applying as Asian, as white, or as “two or more events?” Many thanks.
You need to use as ‘a couple of races’ … and for two or more reasons. To begin with, oahu is the answer that is honest. Do you really want to find yourself at a college it doesn’t wish you for who you certainly are? More over, numerous admission officials seem to have just a little soft spot for candidates who’ve navigated the often murky waters of a biracial upbringing. These admission people feel that pupils from blended backgrounds may bring a perspective that is atypical campus, which is a plus for the faculty community … as well as for you at decision time.
There’s no option to discern which universities have the fewest Asian students in their STEM programs (without visiting campuses and nosing around or contacting division heads to inquire of questions that probably won’t work in your benefit). But everything you can do would be to figure out which colleges have a low Asian population overall and so are courting Asian candidates.
